Returns & Exchanges

We understand that sometimes your order isn’t quite right, and that’s okay. At SEEDS OF ILM, we’ve made returns simple, flexible and stress free. Eligible items can be returned for an exchange or store credit that never expires.

To start your return, email info@seedsofilm.com with your order number and whether you’d like an exchange or store credit.

Returns Information

Processing Time

  • Once your return is received and inspected, your exchange or store credit will be issued within 7 days.
  • Store credit is sent by email. It never expires and can be used on any future order.

How It Works

  1. Email info@seedsofilm.com with your order number and your choice of exchange or store credit.
  2. We’ll reply within 24 to 48 hours with return instructions and the return address.
  3. Ship your item back. We recommend a tracked service so your return can be followed to us.
  4. Once it arrives and passes inspection, we’ll ship your exchange or email your store credit within 7 days.

Return Window

  • Returns must be requested within 30 days of delivery.
  • Requests outside this window, or items that don’t meet the conditions below, can’t be accepted.

Return Conditions

  • Items must be in new condition: unworn, unwashed, and free of stains, pet hair, perfume or odors.
  • Original tags must be attached.
  • Items returned worn, washed or damaged won’t qualify for an exchange or store credit.

Return Shipping

  • Return shipping is paid by the customer.
  • If your item arrived damaged or incorrect, there’s no cost to you. See Damaged or Incorrect Items.

Exchanges & Store Credit

We offer two easy options:

Exchange

  • We only process exchanges for a different size or color of the same product. We are unable to swap for a different design or product. 
  • Your replacement ships free once your return has been received and processed.

Store Credit

  • Receive SEEDS OF ILM store credit equal to the price you paid for the returned items.
  • Store credit is emailed to you once your return is processed, never expires, and can be used on anything in our store.

Additional Details

  • Exchanges and store credit are based on the price you paid for each item, after any bundle or discount savings.
  • If the item you want is out of stock, you’ll receive store credit instead.
  • An order that was itself an exchange can be returned for store credit only. It can’t be exchanged a second time.

Damaged or Incorrect Items

If your order arrives damaged, misprinted, defective or incorrect, that’s on us.

How to Report It

Email info@seedsofilm.com within 30 days of delivery and include:

  • Your order number
  • A clear photo showing the issue

What Happens Next

  • Once reviewed, we’ll send you a free replacement, or a full refund if you prefer.
  • There’s no cost to you for an issue on our end.

Policy Reminders

Refunds

Refunds are not offered for change of mind, including choosing the wrong size, or not liking the fit, color or style. For these, we’re happy to offer an exchange or store credit.

Refunds are available if your item arrives damaged, defective, incorrect, or materially different from its description. Sizes may vary by 1 to 3 cm, and colors may look slightly different depending on your screen.

This doesn’t affect any rights you have under the consumer laws of your country. Customers in the UK and EU may cancel an online order within 14 days of delivery for a refund of the item price. Return shipping is paid by the customer, and refunds may be reduced for items showing wear beyond trying them on.

Order Changes & Cancellations

We begin processing orders quickly so they reach you sooner. If you need to change or cancel your order, email info@seedsofilm.com within 3 hours of placing it. After that, changes may not be possible, but we’ll always do our best to help.

Digital Products

All digital products, including ebooks and downloads from our Digital Library, are delivered instantly and are non-refundable. Because they’re accessed immediately, we can’t offer refunds for:

  • Change of mind after purchase
  • Accidental purchases (please review your cart before checking out)
  • Not reading the product description before purchasing
  • Device incompatibility (please make sure your device can open PDF files)

If you have trouble accessing or downloading a digital product, email info@seedsofilm.com within 7 days of purchase with your order number and a description of the issue. If a technical error on our end prevents delivery, we’ll provide a replacement or store credit.

Unauthorized sharing, distribution or reproduction of any digital product is prohibited.

FAQs

What if my item doesn’t fit?

Exchange it for a different size within 30 days of delivery, or choose store credit instead. Items need to be unworn, unwashed and have their tags attached.

Can I get a refund instead?

Refunds aren’t offered for change of mind, including size, fit, color or style preference. They are available for damaged, defective or incorrect items. Customers in the UK and EU also have a 14-day right to cancel. See Policy Reminders for details.

Who pays for return shipping?

Return shipping is paid by the customer, and we ship your exchange to you free. If your item arrived damaged or incorrect, there’s no cost to you.

I bought a bundle. How much credit will I get?

Exchanges and credit are based on what you paid for each item after bundle savings. For example, each hoodie in a 2 hoodie bundle at $135 is valued at $67.50.

What if the size or color I want is out of stock?

You’ll receive store credit for the full value of your return. It never expires, so you can use it as soon as your size is back.

How long does an exchange take?

Once your return arrives, we process it within 7 days. Your replacement then ships to you free with tracking.

Why exchanges and store credit instead of refunds?

Every order is an amanah to us. We keep our prices fair, ship free worldwide, and give 10% of every sale to Islamic causes. Processing refunds adds costs that would eventually show up in our prices or cut into what we give. Exchanges and store credit let us keep our pieces accessible and our giving intact, while making sure you end up with something you love.
